- 1 head cabbage (approximately 2 1/2 lb.)
- 2 medium onions, sliced thin
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. oil
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Shred cabbage and separate onion slices into rings.

2Arrange layers of cabbage and onion in a bowl or plastic container, sprinkling sugar as you layer.

3Place all other ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

4Pour over cabbage and onions. Cool.

5Cover and refrigerate.

6Best if made at least one day prior to serving.

7Will keep several days in refrigerator.
