- 2 lb. beef stew meat
- 1 medium onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 c. water
Directions

1Brown stew meat really well in small amount of oil.

2Put all the ingredients in with the stew meat and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours.

3Then remove bay leaf and garlic.

4Add 6 carrots and cut in 2-inch lengths.

5Pare and halve 6 small potatoes and add 6 small onions.

6Add to meat and simmer for 30 minutes.

7Add 1 cup frozen peas or drained canned peas.
