Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 14 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
  • swiss cheese, to taste
  • cheddar cheese, to taste

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    Brown beef and drain.

    Cook noodles 4 minutes and drain.

    In a large bowl, mash tomatoes.

    Mix in remaining ingredients, beef, and noodles.

    Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish.

    Put a layer of noodle mixture in dish and top with slices of both cheeses (I usually use shredded).

    Put in remaining mixture and top with cheese.

    Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
