- 1/2 loaf French bread
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar plus 8 tsp.
- 4 whole eggs plus 4 egg whites
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. raisins
- pinch of cream of tartar
Directions

1Break up bread and soak in milk.

2Add 1/2 cup sugar, 4 whole eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, pecans and raisins.

3Mix well.

4Bake in greased 9 x 12-inch dish for 30 minutes at 350°.
