Ingredients
- 3 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 to 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 2 lb. beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 1 c. dry red wine
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
Directions

1Saute onions in oil until tender.

2Add caraway seed, marjoram, salt and paprika moistened with vinegar.

3Mix with onions.

4Pour in wine.

5Cover tightly and simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until meat is tender.

6If necessary, add water sparingly during cooking. Serve with noodles.

7Makes 6 servings.
