Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 c. oatmeal
  • 1/2 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1 stick celery
  • 10 fennel seeds
  • 15 drops Tabasco
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt

    Place all ingredients, except ground beef and oatmeal in blender.

    Blend well.

    Add blended ingredients to ground beef and oatmeal.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Shape into meatballs.

    Either fry in a small amount of shortening or bake for 35 to 45 minutes in a 375° oven.

    Meatballs may be served plain or served in a spaghetti sauce.

    Makes about 30 one-inch meatballs.
