Ingredients

  • 2 c. beer
  • 2 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. horseradish
  • 4 dashes (about) Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan; simmer 20 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients; form into small meatballs.

    Brown in oven; drain fat.

    Add meatballs to beer sauce; simmer 10 minutes (I add 1/2 cup or more brown sugar to beer sauce, depending how sweet you want it).
