  • 1 slice Sliced bread
  • 1/2 sac Mentaiko (spicy salted cod or pollack roe) or tarako (salted cod or pollack roe)
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise / Cream cheese

Directions

    Scrape out the insides of the mentaiko out with the back of a kitchen knife.

    Mix with the mayonnaise.
  3. 3
    If you use cream cheese, first bring it to room temperature so it is soft.
  4. 4
    Cover the slice of bread completely and generously with the step 1 mixture.
  5. 5
    Place it on top of a piece of aluminum foil (to prevent burning) and toast in a toaster oven until crispy, about 4~5 minutes.

    Please adjust accordingly to keep from burning.
