- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and cornstarch.

2Mix and add water.

3Cook in microwave until it thickens; cool.

4Beat egg whites, salt and vanilla until soft peaks form.

5Beating at high speed, gradually add 6 tablespoons sugar and the cornstarch mixture.

6Beat until stiff peaks form.

7Spoon on pie filling. Seal to edge.

8Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes, then bake at 400° for 4 minutes.
