- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 3 egg whites
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
- salt (optional)

1Blend cornstarch and cold water.

2Add this to boiling water. Cook until clear. Let stand until completely cold.

3Beat egg whites until stiff. Add cornstarch mixture and beat on high speed, adding sugar gradually.

4This makes a nice meringue.
