- whites of 4 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. and 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar, sifted and measured in cup lightly
Directions

1Beat eggs until foamy; beat in salt and cream of tartar.

2Add sugar a tablespoon at a time, beating gradually, then add powdered sugar.

3Beat until it will not drop from beaters.

4Put on greased wax paper.

5Bake at 275° for 20 minutes.

6Turn off oven and leave in oven for 5 minutes.

7Cool and remove from pan.
