  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1 c. rice (raw, uncooked)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 1/2 c. diced green bell pepper
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard

    In medium saucepan, brown ground beef and drain.

    Add onion, pepper, mustard, tomato sauce and water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Add salt and rice.

    Mix well.

    Cover pan and over low heat, cook down until rice is tender and dish is thick (15 to 20 minutes).

    Makes 6 (1 cup) servings.
