  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. thin sliced onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 1/2 c. tomatoes (canned)
  • 2 c. (1 lb. can) kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder

Directions

    Melt Crisco in large skillet and brown onion, green pepper and ground beef.

    Add remaining ingredients, stir and cook over low heat, 1 1/2 hours.

    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
