  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1 c. milk (sweet or sour)
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 (No. 2) can cream-style corn
  • 4 to 6 jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • 1/4 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 lb. grated cheese

    Saute meat and onion together until meat turns white.

    Pour over fat drippings.

    Grease skillet as for regular corn bread. Heat and sprinkle with dry corn meal.
