  • 2 pkg. corn bread mix
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. cream-style corn
  • 3 to 4 chopped jalapenos
  • dash of garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. bacon grease
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except cheese.

    Pour 1/2 mixture in pan. Add grated cheese (sprinkle on).

    Add rest of batter.

    Bake at 400° in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until brown.
