Mexican Corn Bread

  • 3 c. corn bread mix
  • 1 c. green chilies, chopped (4 size)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. hamburg
  • 1 c. creamed or whole corn
  • 8 oz. grated cheese
  • 1/4 lb. margarine
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    In a pan, brown hamburg and 1/2 onion; remove from heat and cool.

    Mix corn bread mix with eggs and margarine; mix well.

    Add green chilies, corn and onion.

    Stir well.

    In a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan, put half corn bread mix and meat and cheese.

    Put rest of corn bread mix on top.

    Bake at 450° until brown.
