  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. bell pepper, chopped fine
  • 2/3 c. oil or bacon drippings
  • 1 small can cream style corn
  • 2 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

    Mix all ingredients together and put half of cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until brown.
