  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. self-rising meal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 16 oz. can cream-style corn
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 2 to 3 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 chopped onion

    Brown beef.

    Let drain.

    Grease skillet. Sprinkle bottom with meal and brown in oven.

    Mix egg, milk, meal, corn, red pepper and oil together.

    Pour half the batter in skillet. Spread meat, onion and cheese over batter.

    Then pour other half of batter over top. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour until brown on top.
