  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. cornmeal
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. creamed corn
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 5 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Mix the ingredients together and pour 1/2 of the batter in the pan.

    Grate 1/2 pound cheese and 2 hot peppers, chopped.

    Sprinkle on batter in pan and pour remaining batter on top. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
