- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. creamed corn
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 chopped onion
- 5 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Mix the ingredients together and pour 1/2 of the batter in the pan.

2Grate 1/2 pound cheese and 2 hot peppers, chopped.

3Sprinkle on batter in pan and pour remaining batter on top. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
