- 1 c. corn meal
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sour milk (1 c. regular milk plus 2 tsp. vinegar)
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (No. 303) can cream-style corn
- 1/2 c. bacon drippings
- 1/2 to 1 lb. ground meat
- 1/2 lb. grated Longhorn cheese
- 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped
Directions

1Mix the first 7 ingredients and set aside.

2Brown ground meat and drain.

3Add cheese and peppers out of the can or jar.

4Grease iron skillet.

5Pour half of the batter into pan.

6Add meat mixture, then cover with remaining batter.

7Bake for 50 minutes in a 350° oven or until brown.
