  • 12 burgers OR 3 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion medium, diced
  • 24 ounces tomato sauce
  • 24 ounces water
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seed whole
  • 1 teaspoon pepper each, salt, optional
  • 2 cups white rice not minute rice
  • Fritos Corn Chips
  • shredded cheese
  • shredded lettuce
  • diced tomatoes
  • olives
  • green chilies
  • chopped cilantro

Directions

    In 12 inch skillet, brown soy burgers or meat and onion, then drain.

    Add tomato sauce and water.

    Add spices, mix well and bring to a boil.

    Add rice, stir and cover.

    Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the water is absorbed, about 30 minutes.

    To serve, cover the bottom of a plate with corn chips.

    Scoop about 1/2 cup of the curry on top.

    Add toppings such as cheese and lettuce to taste.
