  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 oz.) can refried beans
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 6 (8-inch) flour tortillas, halved
  • 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar or taco cheese

Directions

    Brown ground beef and onion; drain.

    Stir in seasoning mix, tomato sauce, beans and green chilies.

    Layer half of tortillas on bottom of 12 x 8-inch pan.

    Spread half of meat mixture over; sprinkle with half of cheese.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes; let stand 10 minutes.

    Or, cook in microwave at full power for 16 to 18 minutes, or until heated through.

    Turn 3 to 4 times during cooking time.
