- 1 cup brown sugar light, packed
- 2 cups butter softened
- 1 large egg yolks
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1 cup pecans chopped, toasted
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

2Place rack in center of oven.

3In a mixer, cream the sugar and butter until smooth.

4Mix in the egg yolk, cinnamon and salt.

5Add the flour and mix well.

6Add chopped pecans and mix until just blended.

7Take 2 tablespoons of dough, and roll into a ball.

8Place on ungreased baking sheet 2 inches apart.

9Cookies will spread slightly when baked.

10Bake until edges begin to turn brown, about 22 minutes.

11Remove from oven and cool completely onn wire rack.

12To serve sprinkle tops with confetioners' sugar, pressed through fine sieve.
