“Mice”

   Open the jar of cherries and drain them. You can reserve the juice if you like, but if not, go ahead and discard it. Rinse the cherries and let them drain for a bit. Then spread them out on some paper towels and pat dry.

   While the cherries are drying, melt the chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler or in the microwave (heating for 30 second heat intervals) until it's just melted. Unwrap the Hershey Kisses, and set aside. (Try not to eat the whole package).

   Dip a cherry into the melted chocolate and place one against the base of one Hershey Kiss, hold it there until it adheres, and then place a couple slices of almonds in between the cherry and the Kiss for the ears. Set aside to cool and set, then pipe on two dots of red frosting for the eyes. The stem of the cherry becomes the tail. Continue until all the cherries are used or you run out of Hershey Kisses.

   These are so much fun to make, you can get really inventive in using them for decorations as well.
