Microwave Fresh Cream-Style Corn

- 6 ears fresh corn
- 4 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 c. milk or cream
- 1 or more Tbsp. arrowroot or cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Shuck, silk and wash corn.

2Split each row of kernels with sharp knife.

3Carefully slice just the tips of corn into a large bowl.

4Using dull side of knife, run it down the cob to extract all the milky pulp from corn.

5Put cut off corn into deep microwave dish with butter, salt and pepper.

6Cook, covered, on High for 10 minutes.

7Add milk and arrowroot or cornstarch.

8If you like it thicker, add more.

9Cook on 70% power for 6 to 10 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes until desired consistency.
