- 1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Spread nuts in pie plate.

2Microwave uncovered on High 6 to 7 minutes.

3Melt butter in a 2 1/2 to 3-quart bowl.

4Stir in sugar and milk until blended.

5Microwave uncovered on High 12 minutes, stirring 4 times until mixture has thickened and is a caramel color.

6Remove bowl; add vanilla.

7Beat with mixer 3 to 4 minutes until smooth and shiny.

8Add walnuts and beat on low speed 1 minute.

9Spread in greased 8-inch pan.

10Cool, then cover and refrigerate until firm, 2 to 3 hours.
