- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Butter 3-quart mixing bowl.

2Stir in sugar, baking soda, buttermilk and butter.

3Microwave at 50% for 30 to 40 minutes or until a soft ball forms in cold water, stirring 2 or 3 times during cooking.

4Add vanilla.

5Beat at high speed with mixer until soft peaks form.

6Stir in pecans then drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper.

7Cool until firm.

8Store in tightly covered container.
