- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Let stick of margarine soften at room temperature.

2Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt into margarine.

3Cut in until particles are fine.

4Add egg and milk and stir until forms a ball.

5Knead lightly on floured board.

6Roll until 1-inch thick.

7Cut with glass and bake on cookie sheet at 425° for about 20 minutes until very lightly browned.

8These can be frozen unbaked until ready to bake.

9Defrost slightly on cookie sheet before baking.

10Delicious with strawberry jam.
