- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/8 c. milk
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients; cut in shortening until coarse.

2Add egg and milk all at once.

3Mix into a ball.

4Turn dough out on floured board and knead 10 to 12 times.

5Roll out to 3/4-inch thick.

6Cut with cutter.

7Place on ungreased baking sheet and freeze.

8When biscuits are frozen, store in plastic bag in freezer. To bake frozen biscuits, place on lightly greased sheet.

9Bake at 475° for 12 to 15 minutes.
