  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

    Melt candy with 1 stick of butter in top of double boiler. Set aside to cool.

    Cream 1 stick butter with sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add flour,

    nuts and buttermilk to which soda has been added.

    Add vanilla.

    Fold in Milky Way mixture.

    Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300°.
