Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 2 c. prepared mincemeat to which you have added about 4 oz. good brandy

Directions

    Combine sugar, oats, flour and salt; mix well. Cut in shortening to the consistency of coarse crumbs.

    Spread half of this mixture in shallow pan (7 x 11 x 2-inch). Cover with mincemeat.

    Spread with remaining half of mixture on top.
