Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean beef stew meat (cooked tender and put through food chopper)
- 1/4 lb. beef suet
- 3-1/2 lb. chopped tart cooking apples
- 1-1/2 lb. chopped raisins
- 1/2 tbl. salt
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2-1/2 cup apple cider
- -----
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2-1/2 cup purple grape juice
- 1/2 tsp. mace
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 cup sorghum molasses
- 1/2 orange, chopped
- 1/2 lemon, chopped
- 1/4 cup vinegar
Directions

1Cook stew meat until tender in a pot with a little water.

2Take beef out of pot and use the broth to cook the suet five minutes.

3Run the beef and suet through the chopper.

4Put back in pot with the apples, raisins, salt, brown sugar, and cider.

5Simmer one hour, stirring occasionally.

6Add remaining ingredients and boil another ten minutes, stirring occasionally.

7If canned, process 30 minutes in a water bath.

8Or, freeze in cartons.
