Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 large carrot, sliced
  • 12 cup frozen peas
  • 3 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 12 cup pasta, any shape
  • 1 (16 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cups spaghetti sauce (Barilla or homemade is best)

Directions

    Simmer vegetables in broth until tender-crisp, about 10 minutes.

    Add pasta and cook until al-dente.

    Stir in spaghetti sauce and kidney beans.
