  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. peppermint
  • green food coloring
  • chocolate bits

Directions

    Beat egg whites with cream of tartar.

    Gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff.
  3. 3
    Add peppermint and some green food coloring. Place about a teaspoon meringue on a foil covered cookie sheet. Put 3 chocolate bits on top of the meringue.

    Then put another dab of meringue on top of chocolates to hide them.

    Makes 24 cookies. Heat oven to 350°, but turn oven off when the cookie sheets are put in oven.

    Let set overnight.
