- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- peppermint extract
- food coloring
Directions

1In 2-quart glass measuring cup, combine sugar, corn syrup, milk and cream of tartar.

2Cook on High 5 to 6 minutes or until a few drops of mixture in cold water forms a soft ball (238° on candy thermometer).

3Let stand 3 minutes to cool slightly.

4Beat with electric mixer until creamy.

5Flavor with 8 to 10 drops extract and color with food coloring.

6Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto foil.

7When cool, store in airtight container. Makes approximately 36 servings.
