  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato puree
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 slices bread
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 lb. lean ground beef

    Beat eggs until frothy in large mixer bowl.

    Reduce to lowest speed and add tomato puree and water.

    Tear bread into pieces and gradually drop in mixing bowl.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Add onion and seasoning.

    Slowly add beef.

    If mixture gets too thick before all of beef is added, add some water, a little at a time.

    Shape into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Bake in a 300° oven for 1 1/4 hours. Serves 15.
