Ingredients

  • 18 fig Newtons
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coffee
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 pint heavy cream or 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1 cup toasted nuts
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream

Directions

    In a saucepan add the following: crumbled fig Newtons, 1 cup evaporated milk, sugar and coffee; mix well and stir while heating and cook about 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat adding cinnamon and vanilla.

    Refrigerate and after cooling, add whipped cream or Cool Whip, toasted nuts and softened ice cream.

    Pour into mold or parfait glasses and freeze.
