  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. soda, mixed in 1 c. boiling water

Directions

    Cream together sugar and butter.

    Add eggs, molasses, flour, cloves, ginger, cinnamon and soda mixture.

    Batter will be thin. Pour in a greased and floured oblong pan.

    Bake 45 minutes in 300° oven.
