- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 5 Tbsp. cold butter, cut in small pieces
- 2 Tbsp. light molasses
- 6 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture is in coarse crumbs.

2Pour molasses into measuring cup.

3Add milk to make 1/2 cup.

4Add liquids to dry ingredients.

5Mix with fork until dough clings together.

6Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.

7Bake at 425° for 13 to 15 minutes until golden and baked through.

8Cool slightly on wire rack.

9Serve warm or cool completely and serve cold.
