- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening.

3add just enough milk to make the mixture moist, you probably won't use the full 1/2 cup.

4Knead lightly until smooth. Don't over do it. If you do, you will have a hard flat biscut instead of one that is light and fluffy.

5Press dough flat to 1/2 inch. Cut into 2 inch circles.

6Place biscuits shoulder to shoulder on ungreased baking sheet.

7Bake at 425 for 8-10 minutes.
