- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 tsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 (9-inch) pie crust
- nutmeg to taste
Directions

1Heat milk and butter to boiling point in a saucepan. Beat whole eggs lightly in a bowl.

2Add sugar and vanilla to egg mixture. Stir in milk. Bake at 475° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and cook until pie is firm. If pie browns too fast, cover the entire pie with foil until pie is done.
