- 1 loaf Italian bread (bakery)
- 1 pan of corn bread
- 1/2 loaf of wheat sandwich bread
- 16 ounces sage breakfast sausage
- 2 onions
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 2 medium hard apples (Granny Smith)
- 3/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chicken/turkey stock
- sage, thyme (preferably fresh)
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Break up breads into a large bowl or pot.

2Saute onions and celery in butter.

3Add chopped sage and thyme to vegetables.

4Add vegetables to breads.

5Brown sausage in same pan.

6Drain sausage and once cooled add to mixture.

7Mix two beaten eggs and chicken stock in a measuring cup and add to mixture.

8Chop apples and add them and cranberries to mixture.

9Season with salt and pepper.

10Stuff turkey cavity with some of the stuffing. Place remainder in a large buttered baking dish.

11Cook stuffing covered for 30 minutes and uncovered for 15 so top will be crunchy.
