- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. warm water
- 4 to 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 stick oleo
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup water and 1 teaspoon sugar; set aside.

2Beat egg.

3Add 1/2 cup sugar, vegetable oil and salt.

4Add yeast and 1 cup warm water.

5Add flour until stiff dough (4 to 5 cups).

6Pour onto floured board.

7Knead until firm, 5 minutes. (This adds about 1 cup flour.) Turn into a greased bowl. Refrigerate overnight, covered with clear plastic wrap.
