- 1/4 c. margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
- 3/4 c. applesauce
- 1/2 c. oats
- 1/3 c. wheat bran
- 1/4 c. nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1In bowl, beat margarine (or butter) and brown sugar until well combined.

2Add remaining ingredients (except raisins and nuts) and beat on low speed until combined.

3Stir in raisins and nuts. Spray baking sheet with nonstick spray.

4Drop tablespoons of dough onto baking sheet and spread dough so each cookie is about 2-inches across.

5Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until set.

6Cool. Spread bottom of half of the cookies with cream cheese or peanut butter and top with other halves.

7Store in refrigerator.
