Ingredients: 1 c. butter or margarine; 4 egg yolks, beaten; 2 c. sugar; 1 c. milk; pinch of salt; 2 c. flour; 1 bar German sweet chocolate, grated; 2 tsp. baking powder; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 c. nuts, chopped; 4 egg whites, beaten stiff

Cream butter and egg; add sugar all at once.

Add flour sifted alternately

chocolate for top of cake. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan, greased and floured.
