"Mounds" Candy

Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo (room temperature)
  • 2 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 1/3 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cake paraffin
  • 1 large and 1 small bag chocolate chips

Directions

    Combine in a large bowl first 7 ingredients.

    Knead together. (It will be very thick.)

    Form into balls on a tray or cookie sheet and chill until firm.

    Melt paraffin in a double boiler. Add chocolate chips.

    While still hot, dip the coconut balls in the mixture using a large needle or toothpick to pick them up. Place on wax paper.
