Ingredients

  • 1 c. + 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. soft oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    In large bowl, combine brown sugar, oleo and vanilla.

    Beat until creamy; add egg and beat well. Gradually add flour, soda and salt and mix well.

    Stir in 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips and nuts.

    Spread onto foil lined 9-inch square pan.

    Bake at 375° for 23 to 25 minutes.

    Remove from oven; sprinkle remaining chocolate chips (2/3 cup) over the top.

    Allow to stand until chocolate chips become shiny.

    Spread with spatula. Let cool.

    Chill 5 to 10 minutes to set chocolate.
