Ingredients
- 150 g channa dal
- 100 g sabut mung dal (whole Mung)
- 750 ml water
- 1 tablespoon ginger, chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic, crushed
- green onion, chopped (you can substitute them with 1 medium onion if green onion is not available)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- salt, to taste
- chili powder, to taste
Directions

1Mix the dals and clean them.

2Now wash the dals properly.

3In a pressure cooker, put dal, water, ginger, garlic, turmeric, salt, chili powder and close.

4Place cooker on maximum heat and bring it to full cooking pressure.

5Now reduce the heat to medium and cook for 15 minutes.

6Do not take the steam out.

7Let it cool gradually.

8Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan.

9Fry cumin and turn off the heat.

10Now add green onions and garam masala.

11Since the oil is hot, onions will get cooked a little.

12In case you are using normal onion, you will have to fry it a little.

13Pour this mixture on dal and stir.

14Give dal another boil and serve hot.
