- 2 cup flour all purpose sifted
- 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 4 tsp shortening or butter
Directions

1preheat oven at 450, when preheated turn down the 400 to bake

2Sifted flour ,baking powder ,salt and soda together

3cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

4add the buttermilk and stir with a fork.

5turn onto a floured Board, knead lightly for few seconds.

6roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness.

7cut with biscuit cutter are a bottom of glass, place on baking sheet and place in oven bake until golden Brown.

8about 12 to 15 minutes.

9service well with butter ,jam or honey
