Ingredients
- 1 lb. loaf wheat bread, torn
- 2 c. chopped celery
- 1 1/2 c. grated carrots
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 lb. chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. sage
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 eggs, well beaten
Directions

1Combine celery, bread, carrots and parsley in a large bowl. Saute onion and mushrooms in butter.

2Add seasonings and stir. Pour over bread mixture and toss lightly.

3Add eggs and water and toss again.

4Stuff turkey just before roasting.

5Sufficient for 11 to 14 pound turkey.

6Makes about 12 cups.
